Share
- A Class
Issued to individuals residing in the Kasaragod District who have attained the age of 18 years and above. An amount of Rs. 100 per share with an entrance fee of Rs. 10 should be paid as Share amount. A minimum of 10 shares of Rs. 1000/- should be issued as a new share and additional shares shall be issued respectively.
- B Class
Issued to other Co-operative Societies within the Kasaragod District. Share Value is Rs. 250/- and entrance fee is Rs. 25/-.
- C Class
Issued to the State and Central Governments.
- D Class
Issued to the Large Scale Industries.
- E Class
Issued to Local Authorities, Small Scale Industries, and Charitable Trusts, etc.
Benefits to Shareholders / Members

Eligibility for Medical Benefits
Category I
"A" class Member of the Society should have a minimum share of Rs. 10,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 5000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills.
- The benefit under the scheme is applicable only when a member is under treatment by the Hospital doctors as an inpatient in the hospital.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, a copy of the member’s identity card should be submitted.
- Once the member settles his discharge bill, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. He is eligible for a discount up to Rs. 5000/- per year provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category I.
Category II
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 50,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 20,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and a dependent.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or a dependent are under treatment by the hospital doctors as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate another person as his dependent at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependent shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of the dependent, as the case may be.
- A member or his dependent is eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- per year towards the hospital bill of the dependent.
- Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or the dependent, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category II.
Category III
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 100,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 30,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and other two of his dependents.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or his dependents are under treatment by the hospital doctor as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate 2 persons as his dependents at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependents shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of each dependent, as the case may be.
- A member is eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per year towards his hospital bill.
- Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or of the dependents, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 30,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category III.
Category IV
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 150,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 35,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and other three of his dependents.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or his dependents are under treatment by the hospital doctor as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate 3 persons as his dependents at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependents shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of each dependent, as the case may be.
- A member and/or his dependents are eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 35,000/- per year towards their hospital bill.
- Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or of the dependents, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 35,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category IV.
Category V
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 200,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 40,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and other four of his dependents.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or his dependents are under treatment by the hospital doctor as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate 4 persons as his dependents at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependents shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of each dependent, as the case may be.
- A member or his dependents are eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 40,000/- per year towards their hospital bill. Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or of the dependents, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 40,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category V.
Category VI
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 300,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 60,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and other four of his dependents.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or his dependents are under treatment by the hospital doctor as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate 4 persons as his dependents at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependents shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of each dependent, as the case may be.
- A member or his dependents are eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 60,000/- per year towards their hospital bill. Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or of the dependents, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 60,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category VI.
Category VII
"A" class Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 500,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- A member is eligible for a medical benefit in the form of a discount up to Rs. 100,000/- during a year while settling the discharge bills of himself and other five of his dependents.
- The benefits under the scheme are applicable only when a member and/or his dependents are under treatment by the hospital doctor as inpatients in the hospital. A member shall nominate 5 persons as his dependents at the time of allotment of the share.
- At the time of admission as an inpatient, the member/dependents shall provide a copy of the member’s identity card along with a copy of the Aadhar card of each dependent, as the case may be.
- A member or his dependents are eligible for a benefit under the scheme up to a maximum of Rs. 100,000/- per year towards their hospital bill. Once the member settles the discharge bill of himself or of the dependents, he will get the eligible discount. He cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of Rs. 100,000/- per year, provided he fulfills all the required conditions under Category VII.
Category VIII
"A" class Female Member of the society should have a minimum share of Rs. 10,000/-. Shares should have been allotted three months prior to the admission as an inpatient for treatment under the scheme.
Terms & Conditions
- An amount equivalent to 25% generated as a discount on Delivery Package amount for Female Members only, a female dependent of a male member/shareholder is not eligible under this medical benefit.
- The discount is applicable only on package amount. They will not get a discount on the baby’s hospital bill if the baby gets admitted and on the amount of an extended admission date of an admitted female member/shareholder.
- Once the member settles the discharge bill, she will get the eligible discount. She cannot claim reimbursement subsequently by submitting bills for whatsoever reason. The member is eligible for a total discount up to a maximum of 25% per delivery, provided she fulfills all the required conditions under Category VIII.
General Conditions
- The Board of Directors reserves the right to alter, add, delete, and modify any of the conditions laid down under the scheme subject to the approval of the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
- Medicine bill is not included in the above scheme. A member or his dependents will not get any concessions in pharmacy bills.
- An amount equivalent to 25% generated as a discount on every Consultation bill for those who have a share amount of Rs. 1000/- and above.
